A leaky toilet bowl water tank can be fixed cheap without replacing the entire toilet bowl water tank. A brand new toilet bowl water tank costs around RM 150. There is a connection pipe connecting the water tank to the toilet bowl, and along this pipe is a plastic nut with a rubber seal. Over time, this rubber seal will become hard and will loses its effectiveness and also the plastic nut will show some cracks.
Finding the replacement parts for it was not easy, not every shop sells it as these parts are only changed until it is badly damaged.
The replacement parts are
PVC pipe (to connect water tank to toilet bowl) - RM 5
Plastic nut and rubber seal - RM 3
During the replacement, I could not fit back the bottom big rubber seal connecting the pipe so I had to get 1 new unit. Costs around RM 3 also.
