Using a Universal TV Remote Control

So the story goes is that I lost the remote control on one of the rented properties. I went to hardware shop and bought a universal remote control. This universal remote control supports many TV brands as long as it’s not a Smart TV. The price of the universal remote control was only RM 19.90.

Trying to understand how to configure the universal remote control was quite complicated but after reading it through I roughly got the idea.

Basically, you need to click on a button and then key in a list of 4 digit codes. Each TV manufacturer will have their own specific codes. If the 1st set of codes do not work, you will have to continue with the next set of codes until the remote can be paired with the TV.

Most TV brands are listed but some buttons on the original remote control will not be available. The universal TV remote control can only replicate the basic buttons of the original TV remote control.
