Parents were complaining the key to the front door lock could not be removed despite unlocking the bolt.
Well, time to change the whole lockset as I noticed the spring mechanism doesn’t seem to be able to close properly.
Bought a St Guchi lockset from the hardware shop and began installation. St Guchi is a really good brand, somehow its signature big keys and smooth spring turning mechanism is really good. It cost RM 150 for the whole lock set.
Surprisingly it wasn’t that difficult to replace but probably 2 person were required because the brackets needed to be accurately in the correct place to screw properly the lock.
