๐Ÿ”ง Autogate Repair: Fixing a Client's Unit ๐Ÿšช

Recently, I arranged for a repairman to fix a clientโ€™s Autogate, which had stopped functioning properly. One side of the gate wouldnโ€™t open, even though we could hear the motor running.

Faulty arm

To resolve the issue, I contacted the original supplier of the autogate, and they sent a technician for an inspection. During the visit, the technician not only diagnosed the problem but also carried out several additional maintenance tasks, including:

Tightening the gate screws for better stability
Checking the battery and ensuring proper charging on the circuit board
Verifying the backup battery, which keeps the gate operational during power outages
After a thorough inspection, the technician found that a part of the autogate arm had broken, preventing the gate from opening. The damaged component needed replacement to restore full functionality.

Cost Breakdown of the Repair:
Inspection & workmanship: RM 150
Replacement autogate arm: RM 70
Total cost: RM 200
With the repair completed, the autogate is now working smoothly. This serves as a good reminder to schedule periodic maintenance for autogates to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
