There are several conditions to be fulfilled before being eligible for capital protection scheme. They are :
- 100 notes invested
- The highest invested amount in a portfolio must not exceed three times the average investment amount per note. Example if the average investment for a portfolio of 100 notes is RM1,000 per note, only investments worth up to RM3,000 will be covered by Principal Protect.
Currently only Fundaztic offers capital protection scheme while Funding Societies and Alixco have not have such a scheme. Personally I feel it is just a gimmick to gain investor confidence, we still have to do our homework, due diligence and risk management.
