Seems like the Malaysia government is going to launch a national ewallet called etunai. It was announced in budget 2019 that every citizen will be eligible for RM30 claim into their ewallet. Initially it was speculated that the amount would be credited into existing ewallet players like BoostPay or TouchNGo but recent news seems to indicate otherwise.
There's a slight catch, eligibility only for 18 years and above with annual salary less than 100K. If you're a high income earning you are not eligible for this rebate.
A total of 30 million will be paid out to eligible citizens of Malaysia.
