Borobear Peer to Peer rental platform review 🐻 try 1st then buy item sharing app

Borobear is a platform/marketplace for renting out things. The app matches lenders (Owners) and borrowers (Renters). Basically if you can rent out things to other people and earn some spare change. The company name use the word "boro" to cleverly that sounds like the word "borrow".

Popular items include drones, digital SLR camera, long ladder, escooter, Nintendo Switch, Playstation etc. Recent floods in Malaysia have increase demand for water jet spray machine and robot cleaners. Some interesting equipment being rented out are luggage bags, GoPro camera, vacuum cleaner and projectors.

The app currently only on mobile only.

I have yet to post anything on Borobear yet but I will do so in the short term future, I have a 24 step folding ladder which I hardly use which can be listed on this platform. I also do have a Sony PS4 console which might be suitable for renting.

Borobear prevents scams by servicing as an escrow (brokering agent) by holding payment of borrowers and lenders and only releasing payment upon completion of the whole lending/borrow transaction. Borobears takes a cut of 5% of the daily rental of the equipment's rental value.

This platform is a win win situation for both lenders and borrowers. On 1 hand lenders can make some spare cash with their underutilized equipment while borrowers don't need to splurge a lot of cash to use an item that they will only use once or twice.
