Helped my friend open Speedhome account and list his property on Speedhome 🏠 the rental deposit insurance rental scheme
Over the weekend I helped my friend to setup his Speedhome account to try to rent out his unit in Cyberjaya. The unit is a studio and was previously rented to a local working professional.
This friend of mine stays in Johor and is not in KL most of the time and had previously relied on property agents to advertise his units.
I signed up my friend to Speedhome and then posted all the pictures and videos. For Speedhome video of the unit are very important as a lot of the Speedhome users typically quite internet savvy and are in the video generation (eg youtube, tiktok). So for landlords planning to list on Speedhome, good quality pictures and high resolution videos is a must to prepare ahead.
After the account was created, Speedhome made contact with my friend on the same day for key collection. As such, key collection was then arranged and Speedhome runners (called Speed Runners) came to collect the keys from my house 2 days later and made a 360 virtual viewing video of the property.

Speedhome arrange 2 physical viewings simultaneously for 2 prospective tenants on Sunday. It's quite convenient as my friend the owner does not need to be present.

The viewings didn't go well. The search is on again for a new tenant.

For now, there's a highly interested and potential tenant wanting to rent the unit. The tenant has already paid the booking fees. Speedhome now will do eligibility checking, tenants needs to do a short psychometric test, show sufficient cashflow in 3 months banking statement and upload employment letter/university admission letter.
Once this process is good and tenant is deemed eligible for renting, then Speedhome will create the agreement which needs to be digitally signed by both landlord and tenant to be legally binding. The stamping (revenue tax) part will be done by Speedhome (online) and bore by tenant.

Finally, the unit has been successfully rented out.
Tenant paid the booking fees and picked up the keys from Speedhome and moved in already.
Digital tenancy agreement has been signed, stamping being prepared and all can be downloaded next week.
The total time it took from start to renting is 39 days using Speedhome, just short of 40 days.
