It's reported that Malaysia's inflation rate given by statistics department is only 2.2%, the lowest around the region but many Malaysians feel that the inflation rate is more than this 2% figure.
One of the reasons for low inflation numbers in Malaysia is because a lot of the goods counted inside the inflation score are price controlled raw materials (eg sugar, cooking oil , petrol).
