PNB just announce a paltry dividend of 3.75% returns for Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 (AWS2020) for year 2022. This is the lowest ever recorded. In the past people would queue up by the lines and also jam up the PNB website to apply to buy units in this trust because of its 5%-6% returns on investments.
I would foresee many people selling of their units to chase for other investment products with higher returns. However, I will still be holding on to my units as unlike most people who bought into mutual funds and unit trusts in year 2022, the value of ASW2020 is still maintained at RM1 and hence my capital is still protected.
