Be careful of individuals lurking on Carousel app asking to purchase property units put out for rental.
Landlord lists a property out on Carousel and then some random person messages to say that they want to do direct purchase of the property.
Red Flags are :
- Property for rent but person asks to buy
- accounts created < 3 months
- no introduction, direct message something to keep landlord interested (eg purchase immediately)
When contacted, the random person (scammer) will say they need some help on some payment 1st before they can make the entire purchase.
If get these messages, just block the user or ignore them. They are are waste of time to deal with.
