NinjaVan Parcel Scams - can happen to other delivery companies that offer COD πŸ“¦

Recently some people reported getting emails from Ninja Van informing parcels being sent over to their house despite not ordering anything online.

These parcels are using COD (Cash on Delivery) method and the scammers (sender) are betting that the people (receiver) who get the parcels will pay for the parcel and then when opened the items in the parcel is just a low value item (like paper, keychain). Sometimes family members are not aware of parcels which other family members buy so they just pay for the parcel 1st.

Ninja Van team is aware of this scam and have put up public warning message on this scam. This scam can come from other delivery companies that offers cash on delivery. Cash on delivery (COD) means the goods are paid upon delivery, it's a popular option in some countries where credit card propagation is low. Unfortunately COD option is also being offered in Malaysia depending on the merchant.
