This scam happens in US and Singapore Netflix users, but it can also happen to Malaysians. Netflix is a very popularly used video streaming service.
Basically there will be an email which will say that the Netflix user's subscription has been suspended and trick recipients into clicking on a URL link to renew their subscriptions. The baiting scam email always goes along the lines "Dear User, We're having some trouble with your current billing information" with titles like "Your suspension notification". Users who clicked on the links were redirected to phishing websites and asked to provide their credit or debit card details and one-time passwords (OTPs).
This subscription suspended scam could be repurpose and used to impersonate Astro digital TV subscription. As such, everyone is advised to take heed on this type of scam.
