MyTheo has introduced USD Cash Trust , you basically can store cash in USD 1st as holding account. The minimum deposit is quite steep at RM500. The cash trust is expected to pay a return of 2.58% pa.

This scheme was created for sophisticated investors to hedge their ringgit in USD given that the US dollar vs MYR see so sign of slowing.

Assuming US dollar continue to strengthen then there will be gains but the opposite would also happen, losses will be incurred if US dollar weakens.

Rakuten Trade and MIDF Invest also has a similar function to allow investors to park their spare cash in US dollar 1st and can be used to purchase US equities.
