Scammers are impersonating Public Bank using Facebook ads to advertise that the Popular and Kinokuniya bookstores giving out investment books and some of the books are from the Public Bank founder's books eg Lessons of Success and A Banking Thoroughbred.
The scammers are taking advantage of the recent passing of the company's founder to scam people.
The techniques used by the scammers is very similar to the cheap Mi Escooter scam I previously wrote about here.
The Public Bank team is aware of this scam and have warned the public against responding to these ads.
