OG of modern day investment scheme scammers - Zhang Jian Penang YSLM Marketing aka future world's richest man

I recalled when I just came out to work (2014), there was this guy who called himself Zhang Jian (realname Song Mi Qiu - 宋密秋） and had the label of world's future richest person.  This guy Zhang Jian ran a ponzi money game pyramid scheme spanning from China to South East Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand). 

He was extremely successful particularly in Malaysia for 2 years until his billboard can be seen on the Penang bridge. His scam scheme was disguised as an MLM scheme with products from his home country China. However,  the business seemed to be just focused on recruiting members and getting joining commissions than selling actual products. People thought his business YSLM (Yun Shu Mao) was the China version of Amway.

At the time of the billboard being put up, the world's riches man was Microsoft's Bill Gates. Nobody expected someone to be so bold and brazen to advertise like this way.

Zhang Jian had a cult like personality, extremely confident and charismatic and doesn't shy from flaunting his wealth and being in front of public. His business proposal was that he already developed many millionaires in China and now he came to "save" people our of poverty and become millionaires. He was seen to be quite charitable also, donating thousands to charity organizations and schools.

His followers were ask to dye their hair during annual gatherings to show support for the company. His gatherings had very high profile Malaysia artists and performers giving the extra credibility. He once even got Malaysia's most famous model Amber Chia and then child actress Crystal Lee to promote the company. In one of his events, he gave out brand new cars to his top level lieutenants.

Before Shiba Inu and other shitcoins were popular, Zhang Jian was already promoting his own token coin (shitcoin) called 5 Star token (五星幣 wu xing bit) / five element coin.

This guy was also the OG (old school) guy that pioneered the package A , package B invest and get back certain returns. This style of presentation was seen used quite commonly on present day 2022-2023 investment scams.

Zhang Jian's scam run came to an end when he and his wife (Yoyo Wang Wen Fang) was arrested by Thai authorities after he tried to reboot his pyramid scheme in Thailand (after fleeing Malaysia).

 He was then deported to his home country China to face charges of fraud.

Zhang Jian's style of scamming people inspired future scammers like Johnson Lee from JJPTR (Jie Jiu Pu Tong Ren) who ran an almost similar scam in 2017 which was a ponzi money game masked as  forex investment plan. There's a few more mentees who later created ponzi scams but never did go as big as YSLM.
