Phishing SMS impersonating CIMB clicks 🐙

Scammers impersonating CIMB clicks are baiting victims to click on www.clicksciub.top via SMS/Whatsapp messages which is not even the CIMB clicks website, the website url seems to verbally sound like cimb clicks but it is not the official CIMB clicks website. This is a badly produced phishing scam. Due to these types of phishing scams, typically banks nowadays will buy up some of the most possible url/domain name (similar name) to prevent scammers from buying it and use it to scam people.

The hook to the bait is to tell the victim that their CIMB clicks account (online banking) has an irregular activity and will be locked soon if the victim does not click the link given to re-authenticate themselves. This will trigger the victim to panic and click on the link which brings the victim to a fake CIMB clicks page and the users's id and password will be captured.
Google Chrome also provides warning when this malicious phishing site is being visited, making it more difficult for phishing scammers to ensnare their victims.
