Do not use T Extension Plug for power hungry devices

Using a T extension plug for power-hungry devices can be risky and lead to serious electrical hazards. A T extension plug has only one power cord and multiple outlets arranged in a T shape. While this design may be convenient for providing extra outlets, it is not suitable for high-powered appliances. T extension plugs are not designed to handle high power loads and can easily overheat and cause electrical fires when used with power-hungry devices.

Overloading an extension plug with high-powered devices like ovens, washing machines, or fridges can cause the plug to overheat and potentially cause a fire. This can be especially dangerous if the plug is left unattended or if it is used in an area that is not well ventilated. The risk of fire increases even further if the extension plug is placed under carpets, furniture, or other flammable materials. Over the weekend I had 1 power point melted as a result of connecting my oven to the point using a T extension plug. The plastics on the pin of the T extension point totally melted and my fius box tripped, good thing it didn't cause a fire.

To avoid the risk of fire, it's important to use extension plugs that are specifically designed to handle high power loads. Look for extension plugs that have a higher amp rating, which indicates that they can safely handle more power. Also, consider purchasing extension plugs that have built-in surge protectors or circuit breakers, as these can provide an extra layer of protection against electrical hazards.

I had to DIY replace the entire socket point and throw away the T extension plug. It wasn't easy this socket point was fused quite tightly with the mini tiles.

In addition to using the right extension plug, it's also important to practice good electrical safety habits. Never overload an extension plug with too many devices, always unplug devices when they are not in use,
