Well, I live in a muslim majority country, so it is something that hotel/homestay properties needs to put the Kiblat sign. This is basically a sign (arrow) that shows the direction of where Muslims should face when praying. All hotels in Malaysia are required to put this sign.
Why this is suddenly brought up is after I read some review on a rival Airbnb homestay unit. It was owned by a Chinese but some of the Malay guests were complaining about the place not having the Kiblat arrow.

The arrow can be bought at any bookstore/stationery store. Its doesn't cost a lot, only thing is sticking it on the ceiling you would need a long ladder. Update, I found it's sold at all MrDIY outlets.
As a non Muslim, I needed a way to figure out the direction to put the sign. Google has a web/mobile app that can tell the direction of the Kiblat called Qibla finder.
