For Runners - How to get to Perdana Botanical Gardens using Public Transportation LRT MRT 🏃‍♀️

Previously, I was unaware of the convenience of accessing Perdana Botanical Gardens in KL via the MRT system, resulting in my taking the LRT to KL Sentral and embarking on a 2km run from there to reach the gardens. It's interesting to note that Perdana Botanical Gardens, formerly known as Lake Gardens or Taman Tasik Perdana, underwent a name change after significant landscape renovations. This change reflects the positive transformation of the location, making it a more attractive destination for visitors.

The MRT station that will reach Perdana Bontanical Gardens is the Museum Negara MRT aka KL Sentral MRT station.

A lot of running events nowadays are organized there. It's quite economical to setup (for the running organizer) a running event at Perdana Botanical Gardens as it's a park and no need to get the traffic police/wardens involved to do road blocks.

Upon exiting Museum Negara MRT, head toward Museum Negara exit, do not head towards the KL Sentral exit. Both KL Sentral and Museum Negara are at opposite ends of the huge highway. The Museum Negara MRT is an underground MRT station. Museum Negara refers to the Nasional Museum of Malaysia.

Once you exit to Museum Negara MRT, just walk out of the front gates of Museum Negara (National Museum), there will be a covered pedestrian bridge towards the opposite road, take the bridge across.

You will then end up at National Planetarium carpark which is just adjacent to Perdana Botanical Gardens (Taman Botani KL). Walk out of the car park and there is a small gate leading towards Perdana Botanical Gardens.

The site is quite big but most of the runs starts at near the golden canopy area (dome).

During my runs, I've seen some really interesting runners here wearing Avengers characters uniform. Pictured here is one of the runners wearing Avengers Black Panther uniform.
