Ambank announced recently that they have partnered with Merchantrade Asia Sdn Bhd to launch a hybrid ewallet. Ambank's mobile app will most likely be transformed into some form of ewallet similar to Maybank's MAE ewallet.
No doubt there's a lot of controversies surrounding Ambank in their involvement in the 1MDB saga. However, Ambank have since cleaned up their books and the previous large shareholder ANZ Australia has already existing from the banking group.
