The investments into gold is done via Affin Hwang Shariah Gold Tracker Fund (AHSGoTF). This is a shariah compliant Gold EFT listed on Bursa Malaysia with stock quote 0828EA. Custom portfolio previously only had Aberdeen Standard Islamic World Equity Fund, UOB United-i Global Balanced Fund (Shariah) and UOB United-i ESG Series – High Quality Sukuk.
At the time of writing, Gold prices have shot through the roof ~RM260/g already due to Russian's invasion of Ukraine. It's hard to say if Gold is a good buy or not now but in generally everyone should have some gold in their investment basket.
