The Shoppee/Lazada purchasing agent scam is back. Scammers will be posing as Lazada/Shopee employee and then provide work from home jobs with lucrative salaries to victims. The scammers will use ecommerce words like affiliate marketing, product research etc to make the job sound legitimate.
Victims will then be asked to do a few assignments which is to buy certain products which is similarly listed on Lazada/Shopee on another ecommerce website, once assignment is complete the victim will be rewarded with a commission fee. The ecommerce website will suddenly disappear with the victim's money.
This time the scammers will use attractive lady's picture to entice people. It is Sun Tsu's art of war technique called black widow trap aka ηΎδΊΊθ¨. 99% the person behind the profile picture is a below 30 male scammer working for a scam syndicate.
