AEON Bank (M) Berhad, formerly recognized as ACS Digital Berhad, stands as the pioneer in introducing Islamic digital banking services in Malaysia. It operates as an associate company of AEON Credit Service and functions as a subsidiary under AEON Financial Service Japan.
Aeon Bank is the 2nd digital bank in Malaysia after Grab's digital bank GXBank.
Aeon Bank app is now available for download at Apple Appstore and Google Playstore and open to invited customers. The invite form is on the Aeon Bank site itself.
The features that will be in the Aeon Bank app are :
- Savings Pot (like GXBank pocket)
- QRPay , FPX Transfer
- Islamic debit card (Aeon bank debit card i)
- Budgeting tools
- Integrate with AEON loyalty card
The main strength of this bank is it's able to leverage on its network of retail (Aeon Mall, Aeon Big) presence and its loyalty points (Aeon points) and not to mention that Aeon bank is the only Islamic digital bank in the market. The Bank app is expected to be launched in Q2, 2024.
As this is an Islamic bank, the returns on deposits are termed as profit rate.

ok , Aeon Digital Bank account opening is now open to the public.
The profit rate for deposits is 3.88% is a good rate of return to begin with. All new accounts are given 3,000 Aeon points.
The Aeon Bank app is quite smooth and I did not experience any slowness.

Customers participating in the AEON Points Programme will earn 1 AEON Point for every RM1 spent using their AEON Bank Debit Card-i. Points are calculated based on the rounded-down value of each transaction. Examples are as follows:
Spend RM1.50 and earn 1 AEON Point.
