PPB Group Berhad is a prominent Malaysian conglomerate involved in diverse industries such as agriculture, food production, cinema exhibition, property investment, and environmental engineering. PPB holds a significant share in Wilmar International Limited, one of the world’s largest agribusiness groups, involved in oil palm cultivation, edible oils refining, oilseeds crushing, and sugar milling.
PPB held its 2024 AGM at the Shangri-La Hotel on Jalan Sultan Ismail. Shangri-La Asia Limited, part of the Kerry Group, has ties with PPB's founder, Robert Kuok. Therefore, it was a logical choice to hold the AGM at this venue.
Participants were treated with PPB's group of company products which included movie tickets, Sri Murni cooking oil, V-Soy soy drink and Torta snacks. The movie tickets can be claimed at GSC kiosks.
Note : not many people know PPB was called Perlis Plantation Berhad in the very early days.
