ICapital.biz Berhad’s 2024 Investor Day took place on October 26-27 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. This event offered a diverse program, featuring investment outlooks, company presentations, and personal success stories. Attendees gained insights from industry leaders and engaged in discussions on market opportunities and strategies for investment success. Notably, Investor Day also included the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of icapital.biz Berhad's closed-end fund, which is listed on Bursa Malaysia.

In addition, a display of Xpeng’s G6 electric vehicle (EV) attracted significant interest, highlighting innovations in the EV sector and offering attendees a firsthand look at cutting-edge technology. The G6 offers a maximum range of 600 km (373 miles) on a single charge and comes equipped with 32 sensors including ultrasonic, microwave, and high-resolution cameras. iCapital's Mr Tan Teng Book came in early as he was the keynote speaker.

Besides running the iCapital closed ended funds (Icapital.biz - 5108 stock code), iCapital has got private funds that is managed by the company.

APM automotive had a booth to promote their products. APM Automotive Holdings Berhad, founded in 1971, is a leading Malaysian manufacturer of automotive parts, specializing in suspension components and interiors. 

Guest speakers were from Capital A(Airasia), APM automotive, Eupe Corp, Hibiscus Petroleum, Sensetime, Kellington Group, Suria Capital and SAM. Datuk Tony Fernandes did not come this year for the Airasia talk.

There were 2 tracks on Day 2 where Track 1 was aimed at the experience investor while Track 2 was for beginners.

Once again, Mr Tan Teng Boo still reiterates that icapital.biz berhad closed ended fund is the best stock to invest in KLSE. Mr Tan is  also bullish on China stocks is confident in the long-term growth potential of China's economy and believes that value driven Chinese stocks will outperform in the future.

Mr. Tan Teng Boo also shared some life wisdom, emphasizing the importance of values instilled by his parents and their lasting impact on his life.

His second lesson highlighted that a strong local market is essential for any business before considering global expansion.

In his 3rd point, he stressed the importance of liquidity over profitability, as reflected in his decision to transition the iCapital newsletter to a subscription-based model. The subscription based model help the company weather through the bad times and recover.

Finally, an avid reader himself, Mr. Tan Teng Boo emphasized that reading habit is the essential discipline everyone should adopt to achieve success.
