WCT Holdings (9679) EGM 2025 No Door Gift🎁

 WCT Holdings Berhad is a Malaysian investment holding company primarily involved in engineering and construction, property development, and property investment and management. Established in 1981, WCT has built a strong presence in infrastructure works, such as highways, airports, and buildings, both locally and internationally. The company is also known for its commercial and residential property projects, as well as owning and managing shopping malls and hotels in Malaysia. WCT is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.

In WCT 2025 EGM, shareholders of WCT Holdings Bhd have given the green light for the proposed listing of Paradigm Real Estate Investment Trust (Paradigm REIT) on Bursa Malaysia’s Main Market. This approval was secured during an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held recently. The move marks a significant step for WCT as it aims to unlock the value of its retail assets through the REIT structure, which is expected to provide recurring income and enhance shareholder value.

As part of its listing exercise, WCT will divest three major retail assets—Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre, Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya, and Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru—to Paradigm REIT. The total disposal value is RM2.44 billion, to be satisfied through a combination of 1.6 billion REIT units issued at RM1.00 each and a cash consideration of RM837 million.

This transaction enables WCT to unlock the value of its retail portfolio while positioning the group for long-term growth through the REIT structure.

No door gifts were announced during the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).
