As we know now there's the Covid19 pandemic that has caused people to need to stay indoors and listed companies in Malaysia have to conduct virtual AGM (Annual General Meeting). Sapura Energy is not an exception and they held their AGM in a fully virtual format. Sapura Energy gave out Touch N Go e-wallet gift of RM50 for shareholders for the year 2020's AGM. After attending their virtual AGM, the Touch N Go pin will be send to shareholder's email. The pin can be keyed in as a voucher in the TouchNGo ewallet app to claim the RM50 credits.
Sapura Energy involved oil and gas sector. I am not very familiar with this nor its business but but basically this company owns oil rigs and oil vessels. This stock used to be quite an investor favorite when the oil and gas sector was booming.
I do not own this stock but my friend bought this stock using odd lots methods, he basically bought a small amount of Sapura Energy shares and then applied to join the virtual AGM. I believe he bought the stocks cheap as 100 units is only RM100~. So in theory for a small amount of investment he got back his money's worth of RM50 in the form of the TouchNGo credits.
